Beacon’s most major route is Interstate 84, which passes through the city’s north side, providing a connection that is minutes to the Taconic State Parkway, New York State Thruway and Stewart International Airport.
NOTE: A recent court order imposed the restriction on the usage of one of the two driveways leading to the Chrystie House parking lot.
From Sargent Avenue: If you are following GPS, driving or walking on Sargent Avenue and are being told that you are approaching Chrystie House, do not enter the driveway next to an old stone wall and a cottage-like gate house (at the junction of Sargent and South Avenues). Please continue on South Avenue, soon you will see a driveway on your right, next to the entrance there is a mailbox with the number 300 on it. This is the driveway you should use.
From South Avenue: If you are following GPS, driving or walking on South Avenue, please look for the mailbox with the number 300 on it, please make a left turn and come up from there.
Likewise if you are coming by taxi, please advise the driver not to use the above mentioned driveway.
Thank you for your understanding and see you soon!
